The Big Question: To what extent do advertisers use the idea of a healthy lifestyle to sell products?

I've noticed a steady shift nowadays as more and more people are lured to the idea of a healthy lifestyle, and it seems as advertisers have seen this are using the momentum to get something across to the audience, whether it be an idea or product. I find this interesting such as the techniques they use and what the end results are.
